This was a design I created in hopes of securing a set design position for a Howard Stern Las Vegas special. Unfortunately, I did not get the job.

Nordstrom Charlotte Gala

SEATTLE, March 12 -- Leading fashion specialty retailer Nordstrom, Inc. opened its 93rd full-line store in Charlotte, N.C. today at SouthPark Mall. Over 350 applauding store employees lined the aisles of the 144,000-square foot store to cheer the first customers through the door. The store is the retailer's second in the state of North Carolina.

Earlier in the week, Nordstrom celebrated its opening with a gala party to benefit the Junior League of Charlotte and the Charlotte and Crown Jewels Chapters of the Links, Inc. Over 2,200 guests enjoyed hors d'oeuvres, live entertainment, a runway fashion show of American and European designer collections and the opportunity to do some "sneak preview" shopping. The fashionable fete raised over $200,000.
